How We Work, and Why We Open Everything
At CAWOOL STUDIO, transparency is not a slogan.
It is the foundation of how we work.
We believe that true sustainability starts with openness—from the yarn source to the final garment, every step should be clear, traceable, and honest.
Full Supply Chain Transparency — Starting with Yarn
We openly disclose our yarn partners and yarn brands.
All of our yarn suppliers are long-term partners we have worked with for over five years, and their yarns have already been proven by the market.
We choose to disclose them because we do not custom-develop imitation yarns or chase short-term cost reductions at the source.
Over the years, we have learned a simple truth:
If you want product stability, you cannot save money at the yarn level.
This decision protects consistency, quality, and longevity—and it is a cost we are willing to carry.

Open Manufacturing: Machines, Processes, and Finishing
ransparency continues throughout our production.
We openly share:
- The knitting machines we use
- Our manufacturing processes
- Finishing and brushing techniques
- Washing methods and finishing agents
We even disclose the processing aids used in washing and finishing.
Because every material and process is transparent, we are able to produce wool and cashmere baby garments that meet the highest Class A standards—a level many factories cannot reach simply because their materials and additives cannot be openly explained.
The logic is simple:
If every step is clean and open, the result naturally meets higher standards.
Cost Transparency: No Hidden Margins, No Invisible Waste
We also believe transparency applies to cost.
We break down pricing clearly and communicate directly.
We do not inflate costs through endless sampling cycles or hidden development margins.
This saves time, reduces waste, and allows our partners to make decisions based on real information— not assumptions.
Certified, Centralized, and Accountable
We hold complete social compliance qualifications, including BSCI audits.
Being based in Puyuan(Zhejiang Province), one of China’s most important knitwear manufacturing hubs, gives us a unique advantage:
not only access to concentrated craftsmanship and supply chains, but also fully established compliance systems.
This region is the origin of modern Chinese knitwear—not a trading shortcut, but a true production ecosystem.

Why Work Directly with Us
Knitwear is not woven fabric.
Its structure, behavior, and finishing logic are fundamentally different.
Working with a general trading company often adds layers of translation and misunderstanding.
Working with us means working directly with a specialized knitwear team that has spent over ten years doing one thing:
Making the best wool and cashmere knitwear — only.
One category. One focus. One fully integrated system.
Why We Only Use Wool and Cashmere
We choose wool and cashmere not because they are easy—but because they are difficult.
They are natural materials, inherently more sustainable, and deeply connected to the human body.
They are also unstable, sensitive, and demanding.
I am simply better at working with these “difficult” materials.
I am highly sensitive to touch, temperature, and change.
Instead of avoiding variability, I build long-term systems to manage it—controlling water, tension, finishing, and time until the material reaches a stable, wearable standard.
In return, natural fibers give something back:
comfort, breathability, and a quiet harmony with the body.
Real Wearers, Real Testing
Some members of my team are highly sensitive to materials.
They cannot wear many fabrics; even turtlenecks often feel itchy to them.
They are always our first testers.
After becoming a mother, comfort became instinctive.
Designing for children made material honesty non-negotiable.
I will never produce garments that I — or my child — cannot wear.

Design, Nature, and Long-Term Beauty
I come from a design background.
Working with natural colors, natural textures, and real tactile sensations is both a challenge and a joy.
Every new technical solution we have developed came from client questions and creative demands.
I am grateful to have translated so many visions into knitwear—and to continue building beautiful, responsible garments through transparency, patience, and care.
